Special notice

If you can, please take 20-30 minutes to answer this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GW3RG2N (Leave the window open if you want to complete the survey in parts, instead of all at once.) The survey request is from Neeraja Havaligi, a PhD candidate at Akamai University in Hawaii. She's aiming to survey the farmers and gardeners of Baltimore City, to hopefully make the case for urban agriculture as a conservation tool and contributor to local ecosystem health and food security. Let's put Baltimore on the map!

(BTW, Neeraja Havaligi really knows her stuff: see her LinkedIn profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/biodiversity and then don't forget to come back here to complete the survey.)

Irvine Nature Center

Irvine offers ten different field trips for school groups. During most trips, students work in small groups to make observations, collect data, compare and classify organisms and draw conclusions. Students who visit the Center will receive maximum benefit if the trip is taught as part of a school unit. We send teachers background information and pre/post field trip activity suggestions to help enrich the experience. Many of our field trips complement the Baltimore County School science curriculum and National Science Education Standards.
