Join other young adults (22-45) in learning about the wonders of indoor composting and have the opportunity to make your very own compost bin small enough for any apartment dweller.
Participants will leave the workshop with the knowledge and supplies to make the world a greener place by reducing their household’s contribution to landfills and adding much-needed nutrients back in to the soil.
Diverting food waste from landfills not only conserves limited space, but also helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In landfills, organic materials, like food scraps and yard trimmings, are broken down by bacteria to produce methane, a potent greenhouse gas.
